Trend Watch: Silver Investing

Over the past month, we’ve been tracking an ongoing surge in consumer chatter relating to precious metal investments, and Silver is still gaining steam.

Consumer mentions of investing in Silver Futures, ETFs, and Bullion are at an all-time high level, up +1283% YoY in the past month.

Sprott Physical Silver Trust (PSLV) is still experiencing record inflows too, with higher trading volume than the likes of AMZN every week this month.

In 2020, we saw notable correlation between investor mentions of silver and the futures price, with a +95% YoY increase in chatter precluding a run of nearly +100% in the underlying commodity… That does not seem to be the case this time, but the excitement is palpable.
